a week or so ago there was a discussion regarding vented bonnets

 

i have which i bought in 2009 is still wrapped in its packaging (my car was the same red then ..)

 

problem i have is should i get it sprayed the same colour as the car is now

lexus matador red ...or sell it ..?? my car has some extensive engine mods

so im not sure if i should use it to aid cooling or not ...or if temperature with the PE1420's and mike smiths would be an issue ....what would you guys do ??

Looks great - if I had it I'd want to fit it, I'd also want to keep that engine bay as cool as possible. I assume your car is garaged? Can't really see water ingress being a problem.. Looks much better than most bonnet mods..

hiya mate id put it on its not worth cooking youre car. its my next purchase iv cooked mine ones and it cost me the world to put right. just my opinion

That does seem a bit steep. Half that amount would be about right. I'd get another quote bud..

To be honest Steve that sounds about right if its from a top end paint shop,like everything else price's have gone up a lot in the last few years mate.

It will all depend on who you go to Leo but this side of the Irish Sea thats a top end quote from a good paint shop:wink:

You could try Platt's, always found Dave to be very reasonable, usually take my cars there for paint and MOTs etc.

Price is reasonable for a 1 off job.
