Well, I have my Titan 5w-40 ester synthetic oil ready to go, in along with a K & N high flow filter.

My question is, can i put a cheaper oil in first so as to flush out the old oil without contaminating the new oil?

Featured Replies

i would put in some cheap stuff and run it with some forte engine flush for about 40 mins (idle only) then put in the good stuff. i think you can buy flushing oil.

you wont do any damage putting in the cheap stuff if its not going to get really hot. this is what i will do when putting the car back on the road
