you will be removing the elbow, i have the japspeed set of these on mine, coupled to the japspeed decat pipes.

 

They can be fitted with the engine in the car, but then if you face the same problem ive had (top bolts snapping) its going to be a pain in the ass to fix the problem like ive found, an i have the engine currently out of the car that the bolts snapped on.

 

The other thing to be aware of, IF they are the same size as the japspeed ones, then you will need the correct decats to fit, so you can put a cat back system on the car.

I would have thought you wanted to Decrease spoolup time !

 

Guess it must just be Americanese !

Get the japspeed ones instead quicker delivery without import tax that's what I have for my conversion cheaper too I think. I'm I sensing that I will be changing the manifolds as well?

Well correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought that spoolup wasn't measured as volumetric but measured in time as an offset of turbo lag..... Therefore if you increase spoolup it takes longer....

To me it simply reads as to increase spoolup it takes less time to get to max rpm and reduces lag by that time being quicker but maybe that is just my mechanical knowledge to read it that way. Maybe could of been worded better for some people but afterall it is for the American market who look at things differently. I think we all know what it is getting at though however to be a useful post yes Aaron those would be a good upgrade for you
