have you primed it with acid etch primer? i know when i did my spoiler i was told this was essential for spraying ontop fibreglass.

I primed mine with a rattle can of high fill primer, worked a treat. Gave it two coats with a sand down between.

You are getting a reaction with the primer from the original basecoat, ive just had the same problem. You need to use as suggested etch primer or a sealer to stop it happening again.

So do you have to use acid etch primer on fiberglass as im starting to prep some sideskirts that have already been painted????..Lee

Guys you only use ETCH Primer on bare metal.

Groover has highlighted the correct product.... Barcoat.

There is some sort of reaction going on with a previous paint.

cheapest fix is to remove ALL the paint back down to the fibreglass and start again.

HTH

yeah same as above, as i used to spray cars for a living, the primer is reacting with the paint that was on previously. apply 2 coats of barcoat and this will solve the problem
