Economy+filters

Following on to my last post, what mpg would you expect to get out of a standard Z32 while commuting? No traffic jams and a few roundabouts used as launch pads....

Just trying to figure if I have a sensor/regulator problem, a heavy right foot or a normal thirsty Z ;-)

I'm struggling to get 250 miles on a tank full to empty, long motorway runs however can yield 350 miles on a tank...

Hopefully the Blitz kit might improve things.

Cheers,

RobH

PS Halford's air filter replacements are abysmal - really poor fit, I had to trim the seals with a pair of scissors so I could kind of close the airbox again :-((

I do about 60 miles a day, half of which is along country back roads and the rest on A/M.

I normally hit about 280 before the light comes on.

Before I had the turbos done some time ago I once got the light at 170. Sad when new turbos are significantly cheaper than my annual fuel consumption.

Perhaps ypu were unlucky. The one time I used them they seemed to fit OK.

There must be a better choice than dealing with the Muppets of Halfords or the Highwaymen of Nissan

Maybe there's a slight difference in early/later airboxes..?

I reckon the best option has to be an aftermarket kit - should last the lifetime of the car (probably not long in my case :-()

If your interested, I get about 16mpg for travelling around town etc. and have got just under 30mpg on a run (M-way, A-road cruise).

Rob, 250 miles under normal conditions sounds "normal". I don't think your Z is excessively thirsty.

250 miles under normal conditions sounds bloody good to me.

M/way cruising, plus a bit of town stuff (i.e. normal commuting) and a bit of fun every now and then = 200 miles / tank; pure m/way cruising = 250 miles / tank for me. Unfortunately my current commute is A roads / back roads = 150 miles per tank frown.gif, but fun smile.gif.
