Car keeps stalling :(

3 times today my car stalled while I was slowing down. If I rev the car to 2,000 or so for a min and then let off it almost stalls. And today while I was stopping for traffic and once while slowing down for a corner.

Any Ideas?

Check the electrical connections on the TPS first, followed by the AAC/FICD valves.

You are there again Andy. biggrin.gif

Ooga Jugga Wat?

In english please biggrin.gif

Check what where?

Throttle position sensor - leave car ticking over and jiggle the wires - it it stalls then you've found it.

AAC/FICD is around the back of the engine - probably need to remove it to clean the connections (which is a bit fiddly).

AAC valve is called the IAA in this pic.

Ahh so the fact the rubber surrounding for its wire is split could cause this? biggrin.gif

Thanks Andy, I cleaned the Throttle sensor and its seemed to have worked. Before it stalled all 3 times I drove my car yesterday. Now its not done it at all and I have done a few trips.

Why can it be twisted? Do you know?

Stuart

Just read your question again re twisted .... If you mean rotated then that is how you adjust it. Take a look at www.z-car.net tech stuff for details.
