As above, just wondered if a Z32 had ever competed in TOTB.

 

I know that a couple of 350z's have had a crack over the years but what about the 300zx's

not that I'm aware of, I fancy having a go, was hoping this year but life seems to get in the way of getting the car where I want it.

I was just wonderingas, its just I've never heard of a Z32 competing at any of the TOTB events

 

I'm sure there's some qualifying criteria, or someone mentioned previosuly in a magazine article that entrants have to be nominated by their respective clubs or go through pre-elimination etc

 

Though I may have just misunderstood

 

I'm not sure about how the zed would hold up on the handling circuit but I think that after about a million quid had been pumped into the engine (well a £25k JUN block at least and every part from the Z1 and CZP catalogue) then maybe the old girl would be able to give some big players a run for their money

We have a few cars that are capable, but its not happened yet. We just dont have the same number of owners tunings their cars to the same degree as others do.

 

Z's are competed in Time attack events in America and Australia, with great success, but not so much here.

Well as I do enjoy a challenge I am going to compete this year :helpsmilie: Anyone wanna join me?

I spoke to a guy called Dave Naxton and there are plenty of entries left. It looks like there is some big money spent so have to go there without expecting too much but I will try and compete in all three events and see how we go.

Excellent, bobgenie and Jaffa's, yours are the two I was thinking off as being competable. Others possibly being Mac_1's, Silverbullet and Boomin33's.

I'm not sure that we'll be that competitive. Some of the top tuners supposed to be bringing some serious motors and changing gearboxes, and diffs etc for the various disciplines. Having said that I'll be giving it a go but the main reason that I've entered is to have some fun, see what the car can do, and enjoy the day. The guy told me that it'll be the first zed competing so me and Jaffa making history lol. More zeds would be cool :)

PS. My car is also entered in the power and style awards at Japfest 2 this weekend :)

I'd love to have a go but I doubt my zed would be much cop. If I had the time and money it could be made OK i think.

dosent matter if you win or lose realy as long as you get a big grin on your face whilst doing it. may aswell have some fun. id do it but iv just run my engine in and still need to get the boost turnd up. i think it would be abit to much so soon only done 1300 miles on it

might be up for this if i can get my damn car on the road soon. aarrgggh!

its 1/4 of a mile handling circuit and top speed runs all goes on points.

in elvinton aerodrome. enyone can enter cars with up to 2500 bhp will be runing. its a massive event. like i say im not runing mine this time got a new engine. but my mates runing a 1000 bhp r35 skyline. and ones running a 330bhp peugeot 205 just hope theres some fast zeds there
