Thanks for the welcome, dont even have a penny in the car fund currently as im paying finance on my current car due to finish in january,

whats a reasonable price for a good condition for a manual twin turbo?

  • Author

should have read whats a resonable price for a good condition manual twin turbo

other forums im on you can edit your posts, comes in handy for me since i often make mistakes haha

youve got some saving up to do lol!! i would expect to pay around 3/5K for a very nice manual tt.

You may get lucky and get one cheaper say around 2.5K but there are a lot of tied ones out there really cheap. quite a few uk ones and a few japs are suffering rust on the sills and have smoking turbos etc.

Problem is they are cheap enough to buy but the maintanence can be costly and people neglet them and run them on a budget :(

you would be best with sticking with a well known forum car imo :)

Yea id be best sticking with a car thats known by other forum members then they know whether its been taken care of,

with a partner and child its mainly going to be a weekend car i think, hardly cost effective as a run around plus i do at least 200 miles a week just commuting to work,

currenty own a corsa so keeping that for the economy

welcome dave check the scottish section we are having a meet midweek and you are welcome to come along, the lads will be able to answer any questions you want and you can get a look around some cars.

mikey stays upthe tranent area im sure?

Hi Dave.

You've come to the best place if your wanting to know anything about a z32. We're a friendly bunch on here and we'll help in anyway we can.

Just give us a shout if your needing a second opinion when you go to look at one.

Im just down the road in Dunbar, my unit is in Haddington so if you ever want to have a look around one.....just yell.

Oh, Welcome

Welcome mate, good luck with your search. There are goods ones and some old dogs. but bargains are there. As stated we are here to help, just let us know.

Just to give you an idea i bought my 94 UK TT manual for £1500. engine is spot on, with just a few bits to sort, but luckily for me i have done all or any work myself.

Hi Dave welcome to the forum

there is a great buyers guide to look through , however get yourself to a meet ( dont need a zed for that ) and ask around im sure someone local to you would happily go along and look over any prospective purchase with you

Cheers bud! Had a full re spray last year when I bought her (was originaly black) and put some new wheels on etc. There's so many ways of making a Zed your own and standing out against all other cars on the road :)

to be fair, to give a Z the title of "scooby slayer" would be an understatement. I've owned a WRX and my Z is LOADS faster! Plus I've slayed far more exotic and powerful cars than Scoobies :D

Oh and, welcome!

haha dont want to come across as a boy racer, far from it just really fancy a car with plenty boot thats "affordable", within reason.

guess stating i come from a corsa club doesnt help.

You should try to pop along tomorrow night I think it is Livingston KFC we are meeting at although double check in the Scottish section.

I am originally from Prestonpans so know your area quite well.
