Mine is supposed to turn up today, so I can give a better opinion once it's fitted etc. However, on the face of it, since it replaces EVERYTHING, including the bushes in the wheel hub, I'd say it's going to be the ultimate delete kit.

Other kits seem to still use some of the stock parts, like the bushes, track rod ends, etc. some seem to require a lockout bar as well as the track rods, where this one bolts directly to the sub frame. I personally am going to buy another next month to fit to Roses car, then sell on my lockout bar for anyone who isn't interested in doing the full delete.

keep me posted on the feel once its fitted mate, cowpatmatt (drifter of a 300zx) has one and liked it, but a 2nd opinion would be great, can you update this thread once fitted sir.

they/we did a group buy of this kit recently so i'm sure someone will give you a review... i bought one and its sill sitting in a box in my garage, so alas i cannot comment yet.

Mine just turned up in the last hour, looks comprehensive, sturdy and whilst being lightweight enough, feels heavy enough to be robust. Mikey and I are hoping to get it fitted this weekend, because I need to take the car to London again next week and I can't do that without fitting it, so will let you know how it feels once it's done. I have high expectations for it though.

Yeah I stay in South London/Surrey mostly, but during the day I'm working up in Hammersmith, 3 days a month typically. We are having a mini meet to welcome Rob Hughes home in Aldershot on I think Thursday night, it's a bit further round the M25 but could be worth the drive.

matey pop into mine on the way back home, if you go up the M1 past northampton J15 at any point.

I normally take the A1 instead, because it goes 10 - 15 miles closer to my house than the M1 does, that being said, I think I'm setting off back home from Aldershot on Thursday night, so will be taking the M1 most likely. Although the other thing to bear in mind, is that I won't be going past you until probably 9 or 10 at night and will have a car full of Z bits like bumper, sideskirts etc. PM me your number and I'll give you a buzz if I'm going up the M1 and got some time/am early enough.

It's an awesome piece of kit and very high quality! Replaces the skinny track rod arms and Hicas Bushes... Just make sure you use the smaller nuts in the kit, the big ones cause too much toe out!! Another thing when fitted it's a good idea to get your Z on a 4 wheel alignment system to make sure all the toe angle are right!! No more wobbly back end and the Z does what you tell it too!!

Ive got it fitted to my zed. I found that the rods were about 10-20mm too long. I fitted them and tried to adjust them to let me drive the car to be set up. Once i arrived, the garage said that they could not align my wheels because there was not enough adjustment in them.

Other than that, they're fantastic.

Does that mean you won't ever be able to get your wheels aligned then Mikey?

to long even with the skinny nuts fitted?

dan.

I took my rods into work and removed about 5-10mm on either side. I've got plenty of adjustment available now.

Not too sure about what people have said about the smaller nuts though.

Well mine is now fitted thanks to Mikey, I did help, I took most of my old lock-out kit off, I fitted one side of the driftworks kit too, but he did all the grinding and banging on the old bushes, mostly because he's fearless, but also because I think I've cracked a bone in my hand at some point and hammering hurts a lot.

Anyway, Mikey praise aside (Although I do have mention that he tracked it up this morning at work), now that it's all tracked up and set up properly, the car feels awesome. It still loses traction on full throttle, but I think that's more a combination of my poor tyres (The ones I paid a truckload of money for, because they were "excellent" :@), and then my air leak + what we think are boost jets, so I'm getting a rather large spike of power around 4/5K revs. Set off from Chimps garage this morning and left an 11 on the road :D.

I can't really give my opinion properly, until I get these crappy seized coilovers off and buy some more, that actually restore the centre of gravity on the car instead of it being like it's on stilts, but so far, the car feels a LOT more solid than it did before. I will DEFINITELY be buying another set for Roses, either later in the month or next month, depending on finances.

BOOTNOTE: Also, the skinny nuts! The kit came, with rather large adjustment nuts fitted, but there were 4 skinnier nuts in the box, which after working out where everything went, went nowhere. So, I removed the fat adjustment nuts and fitted the skinny ones, when Mikey was adjusting the tracking at work this morning, it became apparent, that we may as well have just locked it all up as tight as we could, because essentially there is no adjustment left in them when they're tracked up on the lasers.

How much were they on the GB?

huh?

Well if we can get another one of those organised it'd be cool. I need another for Roses car, Mikey wants one too, so there's two already.

I found the same, car feels good with it fitted but proper adjustment is not really possible due to the length not being correct for a Z32....I'll sort it at some point. The reason is that the toe arms are driftworks' generic 200sx or R32 parts I'm not sure which.

Did you fit the thinner adjustment/locking nuts that were provided in the kit ?

No, I bought mine secondhand so didn't have the choice. Reading this thread is the first I've known of the thinner nuts.

I'm able to modify mine, it's just at the bottom of a long list at the moment!

Right then,. how many do we need?

Im local to driftworks and know a few of them.

I'll see if he can do it for £165 again.
