Having finally got her through the MOT after 4 and a half years of welding etc' etc' I have been giving her a bit of a spin.

My question is, what is the maximum boost reading I should expect?:confused1:

On full throttle she is virtually going off the gauge, close to 14 psi. Is this to high for a stock UK? or is this normal?:sweatdrop:

Cheers in advance.

the stock gauge goes to 14psi on UK clocks but it's a BLATANT LIE! So don't worry about it until you put an aftermarket one on there, then check it :D Mine goes off the clock on the stock boost gauge too.

should expect 9 psi...sounds like it has 1mm boost jets (mig tips) in the actuator lines

I always imagined it was fine, but as it turns out, Mikey and I just went and pulled one of the pipes off that would normally have the boost jets shoved in them, and sure enough, we can't tell what exactly is in the pipe, but there is definitely something shiny inside it and it's hard part way down, so it could be the previous owner of mine has put boost jets in it.
