What the F*** is bonging when I stop!?!?!?

Right, Roses car always did this, so it's not the auto to manual conversion that has caused it, however we did think it would go away when we did the manual conversion, it hasn't! Every time you come to a complete stop, JUST before you do so, it f***ing 'bongs' at you! WTF is it?

We've checked clutch, brake, steering and windscreen washer levels, all fine, anyone else got any ideas?

Nope, even when the stereo is unplugged, nice thought though. That bongs if the facia is still on when you turn the engine off.

I think there was supposed to be a bong when you go over a certain speed as a warning, so maybe it's something to do with the speed sensor, or the speed dial, as the dial takes the signal from the speed sensor and cleans it up before passing the signal onto the ECU.

Is it the same bong to tell you your door is open, keys left in and light on etc??

If so the little speaker thingy is under the cap above your clocks. all you have to do is take that off and unplug it. but dont leave your lights on

Yeah you lot was too slow, I searched the forum for 'bong' and found one that suggested a green wire going to the 'bonger', we didn't find a green wire, but we found a yellow and green one, which also had a bullet connector on it, so nice and easy to unplug.
