Can anyone tell me is this possible to do?Does the VG30DETT engine will work without turbos just with a straight exhaust manifold from non turbo engine. Does all manifold fitments will go on turbo engine?

Featured Replies

Wrong pistons

Wrong valves

Wrong injectors

Wrong ECU

Easier = Buy a TT engine

I would assume it wouldn't work well as the compression would be wrong for NA

Yeah I geas this is not will be good but engine still will be running and car still will be drivable yeah? does fitments to the engine is the same? I know that gasket is different. I need to rebuild my turbos so I just guessing if I will put in non turbo manifolds straight to exhaust pipes car still will be drivable.

So Whats can be wrong ?Can it damage the engine?

yes, the manifolds are bolt on same fitment.

But you will need all the NA Piping from MAF to Intake plenum. You also have the Turbo oil and water feeds to take care of as well.

Then there is the ECU Mapping, it will run like a pig without boost, overfuelling most of the time, and you cant just run a NA ECU either, due to the larger TT injectors.

and with such low compression it would just be plain embarassing performance wise.

..and all that work - Removing engine, stripping turbos manifolds, piping, then refitting engine ...just while you wait to refurb your turbos ?

that's a great answer , No I just realise that is not worth lol Thaks for help guys.

just curious, but what if you were to turbo an NA (or NA block/heads)? Would the performance to better with the higher compression?

Can be done but costly, + cannot run as much boost
