so you got the hyper st Truggy or .28 TQ ? as above post reflects both cars

if its the hyper .28 TQ buggy wheels and tyres are £20>30 Full Set

if its the hyper ST Truggy .28 i dont stock the original wheels as there kinda poor as the spokes snap really easy

you would need to buy some 1/2" off Set rims and tires to fit this can cost from £30>£60 full set

Glow plugs are

£5.50 for LRP Platinum R4 Medium

£6.50 for LRP Platinum R5 Med/Cold

what is the best all round truck the Traxxas T-Maxx or the Traxxas T-Revo?

Also my kids have both got tamiya touring cars and i cant find anywhere to get new shells for them. Do you sell them or do you know where i can get them from

ok yes i sell Universal bodys ( 190mm ) for all tamiya Electric and Nitro

the Prices are around £22>28 depending on car body type

ok Traxxas is a very good brand but you pay 20% more just for the name compaired to

Hobao

Hong Nor

HPI

Ansmann

Caster

the list goes on

the best thing is what do you want to do with the RC and how much do u want to spend ?

ok yes i sell Universal bodys ( 190mm ) for all tamiya Electric and Nitro

Can you get hold of Z32 body shells...

well i want to be able to mess about with the boys and there touring cars in the car park but would also like to go off and do my own thing with it in the woods and at the local gravel pits. the T-maxx 3.3 and the T-revo 3.3 are both in budget so i guess you could say my budget is between £400 and £500

ok here are the good and the bad points about some cars ..

Traxxas 3.3 trucks

engine is very finiky to tune

T-Max

likes to roll over all the time due to high ground clearence

Not that strong Front wishbones are very weak

Good Points Very fast and handles quite nice

Revo

has a weak gear box blows the reverse gears all the time

both have a stupid Ezy start system that Eats batt life and pack up over time ( depends how it gets abused and used )

Good points fast and has Trick suspention setup

HPI Savage

Rolls over due to being high

Strips spur gears if engine gets knocked ( this goes with other trucks to )

a little lazy in steering but thats a monster truck for you

Good Point .. Very very very very strong !!

there all with in your budget and have change left over ..

if you was to come away from monster trucks and have a think about Truggys or Buggys

you could go for

Hong Nor CRT x1 truggy

big wheels like monster trucks but lower to the ground and would out speed and out manoover any monster truck going

Plus its very very strong

downside is that the Jumps are not has high due to being lower to the ground

but hay if yout thinking of doing 10ft jumps then trucks are good but remember is how u land them

buggy is more for Cheap playing and Racing

Wow what a responce. You defo know your stuff. I was going to change the arms and everything on whatever i get to alloy parts anyway just so i know i wont break it if it lands hard.

Do you have a website for your shop ad are your shells on there?

some shells are on there the ones i sell most of ..

Dont change any of the parts to alloy

it doesnt make the car stronger .... just heaver and slower and more expensive to repair if u brake some thing thats alloy .. trust me i been there got the t-shirt .. and seen meny other ppl with there mangled up cars

trust me i seen it all

salotape, glue, tieraps, wood screws, bits of metel straping stuff togeather

seen the after math of cars running them over

jumping them to high , runing in to trees that just come out of noware

i race on a Pro Level so i kinda get to see it all lol

cool i will save my pennies on the alloy bits then and spend it on tyres fuel and beer lol.

Is it worth changing the air filter that comes with them or will it not make much difference?

most of the cars these days come with performance airfilters

.21>.28 ( 3.5cc 4.6cc ) engines

Hi torq servos

2.4g Radio systems

All fully ball raced

Metel Gears

Take a look at the latest Design thay have done to the savage x 4.6

you would be looking at

£400 for car

£15.50 for Batt ( for electric roto starter )

£25 for charger ( fast,mains,12v )

£14.99 for starter pack

£16 for 1/2 gal of fuel

Extras

2.99 air filter oil

2.99 after run oil

9.99 hump pack Batt (for the car)

hay mark i have a thunder tiger sledgehammer truck which im stuggling to het to run tiddy. have you got any tips on tunning the engine so it idles and doesn't cut out all the time?

thanks

isnt the sledgehammer the one with the .50/.70 block engine ?

if so thay are a Pig to start and use

turn up the idle alittle more

get it started and try and run 1/2 tank of fuel

Turn the top end needle 1/8th of a turn clock wise at atime

untill you have good engine top end performance and a nice trail of smoke

the engine must not bad off under its own throttle (die)

now once you have done that u can tune the Low end Needle

turn this in 1/8th atime clockwise untill u have a nice Zingy throttle response

once this has been done back both needles of by 1/8th and then u can ajust the idle again so the engine ticks over nice but not engaging the clutch

engine must not get to hot

normaly u can tuch the top finn of the head for 3>4sec before its to hot to tuch this would be about right 200>250f

found it! ok thanks i will give it a go before i kick the thing accross the car park! i may have to get it set up by someone who knows what there doing as they are very potchy things! im thinking of changing to a baja 5 at some point!

no i wouldn't be looking to buy new! i would get a secound hand one as ive been told there pretty bomb proof. that your shop?
