In a moment of (what I thought was) clever thinking, I removed the green relays out of the small fusebox under the bonnet whilst I was on holiday and the Z was sat outside trying not to get stolen... lol :sweatdrop:

Anyway I went to start it up earlier and couldn't for the life of me think why it wouldn't fire up, I used the throttle a bit as I was trying to start it before realising what was wrong lol :w00t:

So I refitted the missing fuses after I struggled to remember where I'd put them, and the car started after a bit but is now running poor and sounds like a 3 cylinder :blushing: would I have flooded it maybe and is there a solution for this sort of stupidity other than try it again tomorrow and hope for the best?

I think short of taking your plugs out and sucking it out, I'd say leave it overnight and hope. Potentially pull the plugs out anyway to aid in the evap-process?

Probably some form of air lock, if you were turning it over with the green fuses out then the fuel pump wouldnt have been priming so i doubt you flooded it.

The ECU is probably trying to relearn. It may take 3-4 times before it gets over not having any power for a week or so.

I did write that lol, then edited as i didnt think it would turn over with the batt fuse disconnected

Should have added, I put the battery fuse back in once I realised the alarm wouldn't set :whistling:

But it foxed me, so thieves would have had no chance!

Thanks for the suggestions, will give it a check over tomorrow :thumbup1:

Maybe you forgot something else and havn't remembered yet

Yeah I did think that, cant find any connectors that are off though! should have just left it as it was and took the chance

Well it was still no better when I moved it this morning to get the other car out, but it does smell strongly of fuel. Could this be a clue before I go delving into the unknown?

Well I fixed it... literally had a sudden clue with thankfully gave the game away. The PTU has been relocated and put loosely behind the fuse box, one of the connections had come loose and the bonnet was pressing down and holding it in place lol. :sweatdrop:

Still need to change the engine though lol.
