Please don't tell me that it's failed on these?-was they noted before? did the tester fail the wrong bushes? ie the ones you changed?

Afraid so Mantav8,:crying:

looks like I have had to change the bushes for nothing!

track rod ends did not get a mention:surrender:

So depressed or what!!!:censored:

By the way Tudor, Thanks for the links,:thumbup1: very helpful.

all I need now is a shed load of motivation to get back in there.

I've already got my track rods, just saving up for the outer ball joints, dear little fookers them are (especially when your already peppered!).... Mine were well goosed...

I am now doing mine but using the pinman took me 10 mins with just a gentle heat

now got to refin new ones

Count yourselves lucky I think, mine passed this MOT but will need doing before the next and mine was locked out by the previous owner, so I have the joy of either buying a very expensive full lock out kit to do it properly, or restoring my HICAS to a functional state!

Hi Andy, Sorry to appear daft,:blushing: but what is the pinman? I have been at my first of 2 rear outer ball joints for hours and still no joy!!

if you put in pitman bearing puller into ebay you should see one both sides took about

3 hrs most of that time was on getting the new ones in

My God, are they a bunch of Chimps! LOL!-I take it is the outers then, not bad if you grind em' flush, bit of heat and knock em' out, took me 10 mins each but that was on a 2 poster!:ninja:

See what you mean Tudor, pricey or what,

by the way, thanks for the links,

I have just finished removing both inner ball joints,:hammer: well knackered, (thanks for the write up Jeff tt)

I am thinking, may be able to get away with only changing the inners?:whistling:

I am nervous about grinding off the outers and then being up the creek without a paddle if I can not get them out.:taz:

Thanks for everything so far guy's, could not have got this far without everyones help.
