Well that sucks balls mate. Are they going to fix it?

Nope, they rebled the brakes and said it was fine, i got in it, turnt it on and it was foot to the floor again. Got in an argument but then they moaned saying that they fitted the brake pads the same way they did to an FTO and it had no problems. So now im in a few problems, hopefully it will be sorted tomorrow by a friend, if i have to buy a new BMC i will be taking the garage to court. I went in and it was fine, i came out with no brakes..

That REALLY sucks, take it this was a local garage and not a dealership or anything? I reckon they probably took the whole calliper off if they broke that, instead of just sliding them in.

Nope it was my local who supply all my tyres etc. If you push back the piston with it still attached it will force brake fluid back up to the BMC and it will break the seal :crying:

They should have forced the piston back with the bleed nipple open, then it wouldnt have got as far as the BMC. Changing the pads is probably one of the easiest jobs to do on the zed and the spanner monkeys didnt even get that right.

Hope you get it sorted out in time for the Zrun Murt, im sure yo will.

I wouldn't have thought you could get enough force behind it to do that without taking it off the car (But still attached to the brake line) and forcing the piston back with a vice. Mikey and I changed my pads last week with it still on the car, although we didn't have to force the piston back much at all, as was swapping out pads with quite a bit left on, for some EBCs with about as much on.

Can be a fault on zeds,Vauxhalls used to get this problem years ago,the pistons being forced back turns the seals over in the master cylinder.
