Ive finally got a zed that runs perfect and needs nothing (bar body work).

Its really fast and drives without fault.

 

Its taken me until now from when i first joined to be able to say that, after all the time money sweat a tears ive spent ob zeds..

Sods law, that now im here, ive got NO money what so ever!

 

This is not a for sale ad, but i might put one up.

 

Ian was quoted £600 to get the body looking decent. Ive been quotef £1200, but i was changing the colour!

 

I need something for work as i sold the van/done a deal for the blue zed.

I cant afford to drive the zed. I'd love to garage it til i can, but i need a work car!!!!

 

What to do, what to do.....

How many zeds do you have? have you still got breakers n stuff? cant you get a cheap runaround for work and keep a Z sat around for when you can afford it?

 

If you're anything like me (and sounds like you are) if you sell the Z you'll probably wont be able to afford another one anytime soon and will end up never getting another.

Fund a cheap run about while you sell off the breaker bits. I spoke with Vods a while ago and a guy by me will do a colour change for about £5-600 worth driving the distance for or see Vods guy.

Where abouts are you based mate? What sort of bodywork are you wanting doing?

 

As for a cheap runner, do you need a van? These combo vans, not pretty or fast but a cracking little thing for the money!

So I had a look in your rides section - is it the silver one? Ian has the blue one now.. right?

Ive got ian's old red(brown) one.

 

I cant afford a run around or i would put the zed away for a while.

I dont want a van, i'd like an estate so i can get the family in it at the weekend.

The wifes got a focus that does 50mpg, so were keeping that!

 

I wont break another zed!

 

My brother in laws lagunas sitting there, but hes not replying to my messages and avoids my questions.

1200 for full respray and bodywork done I presume? That's er very very cheap

the garage that said £600 for repair work, plus a spray over in the location to match the car is the same garage that Artztogo got all his body work done with, based in wednesbury Birmingham.

 

They also quoted me £1200 for a full respray as well and are very good.

 

Jim have you had a look at a cheap Volvo estate? comfy enough for the family but large enough for work, also good on insurance and fairly cheep to run.

I like volvos as it goes.

I was using my brothers mates for a few days.

2.5 5 pot. Sounded nice but drank petrol.

I also used a 2.4 D5 for a week. 30mpg around town.
