Just supping on some proper italian dark roask made with an old school italian coffee maker... sooo nice.

I tried some of that new microgranule instant stuff and while it is definately better than your average nescafe, it still doesn't have the richness and depth of flavour of the proper stuff.

I am however ashamed to say that i like coffee whitener (coffee mate or tesco equivilent) as opposed to milk as i find it makes it far more creamy.

My missus has earl grey all the time.

what about you tea or coffee?

As you know Paul, im a coffee drinker and do like a nice coffee. For years now i have used my tassimo drinks machine, they are limited to about 5 coffee types and have enjoyed them all, but for months now i refuse to pay the price for the discs as they have become too much for what you get compared to ground coffee.

So at the moment its Kenco rich for me, with the occasional Nescafe Latte.

I tried your little machine with normal coffee granules and i have to say that it was richer and stronger than the kettle way.

Did you use instant granules or the proper ground coffee? Your meant to use the proper stuff in that little machine.

I know lol, but i only had normal coffee granules at hand at the time. I still need to get some proper ground coffee. Tasted nice though. :winkiss:

Tea im a earl gray man, love the stuff.

as for coffee, nescafe for me, but do like a nice starbucks americano

But if going for the creamier coffee, evaporated milk in coffee instead of normal milk for me.

My shame is DECAF coffee..

Can't handle the real stuff - it makes me

Its rrrrreally frustrating when you smell other peoples coffee but can't have one yourself. I used to drink 20 cups a day, which is probably why I have a problem now..

Decaf just isn't the same, no matter how good it is - its like alchohol free beer (pointless).

I like Carte Noire for instant coffe, nice and strong, normal Tetley when I want a tea, but if I go to a Costa/Starbucks I do enjoy a vanilla latte :)

Coffee made in a Moka pot for me ......... drunk as either 2 espressos or in a mug with hot milk added .......

I like Carte Noire as well. I'm not a coffee tart though and just have NATO standard.

In the morning we have strong kettle Gold Blend with and we like it some coffeemate in, as well as a splash of milk

We then drink Nescafe Latte, Macchiato - them powdered ones.

We also have 1 litre toffee, hazelnut and gingerbread syrup to splash in whatever and whenever we like

We do make a bee line for Starbucks or any decent coffee house when on our travels and holiday.

Most nights I will have a full and whole milk Gold Blend coffee made in the microwave to help me go to bobo land!!

I never touch tea but the wife does have a cup a day

Anyone tried Blue Mountain coffee ? It is the worlds best and absolutely delicious.....

The Starbucks almost instant stuff is nice but pricey, cheaper to make the real deal!

I have a Dolce Gusto for ease and that's nice coffee but you can't beat the proper proper stuff!

I tried that today, and it was very nice for instant, like you say very nearly as good as the real deal.

Tell that to the Civit cats ;) Yes, it's very good but it's a bit over-rated - over £70 a kilo? You can can better for much, much less.

Get some "Kicker", and an Aeropress, and redefine your expectations....
