The baffles use fibreglass or similar I think, they tend to get louder with age.

I looked at an NA with a mongoose system that had been on a few years and it was very loud !

I think they start out pretty reasonable though.

Do they do one for a shortie ?

I've got one and it's not too loud. You can still hold a conversation at normal levels inside the cabin

The only problem is keeping it Clean ! It's beautiful when it's polished, but go for a long run and the s/stell starts to blue.... and if it's raining or the road is mucky, dirt bakes on. I've still got to find a good S/Steel cleaner/polish

who has one? are the loud.... got any sound clips, saw one on you tube but it was for an N/A

I've got one bud and its for sale! On the TT they are pretty quite on idle, but get a bit meatier further up the rev range. On the whole more subtle over substance!

I am looking to put a s/steel system on my UK 92 turbo in the not too distant future,

will it cope with emissions at the mot OK?

will there be any issues I will need to deal with before the test?

I am struggling to get mine through with a standard system at the moment.

1 says quiet, 1 says loud.... damm it. ive basically got 2 4.5 inch cans on mine and want it to be massively quieter than those.

The TT mongoose system is quieter than the na as the turbo's muffle the exhaust note a little.

The Mongoose and Blueflame exhausts were made to be simply stainless steel replacements of the stock system.

Similar narrow twin tails on the end and not built for performance.

The TT's should be fairly quiet until opened up and then reasonably louder, whereas the N/A's are louder than the TT's.

Off all the systems available, these are pretty much the quietest.

Oh and no reason to effect emissions, if a zed is already struggling with this, theres something wrong else where, assuming your particular model requires emissions testing that is.
