can i plank off the 2 pipes that come off the front steering rack for the rear steer??? cus i am ripping all the rear steer stuff off. or do i need a N/A rack????????

the pipes that go to the front rack are the pas pipes, you will need them. you just need to remove the two big lines that run from the rear rack, i think they both connect to the hicas solenoid

The HICAS lines run on two brackets on the front of the steering rack cross member, you can remove these. But don't cut any lines going into the steering rack itself or you'll bugger it up.

You can ditch the lines marked in green. Doesn't show very well but they go under the thicker one in the middle.

we do i put the one that go,s from the solenoid to the rack? THE MIDDLE ARROW ON PICTURE

the flexi pipe that comes off the front of the subframe (and connects to the rack) is the pressure feed to the rack, this should connect to the pump.

 

there should be another return line from the rack to the pas pot, this runs around the front of the car. finally there should be a big hose that runs from the bottom of the pas pot to the pump.

 

if you are using a tt pas pump then as you may know this is actually two pumps, most people usually run a return line back to the pas pot (which was connected to the solenoid). you can also remove the blades from inside that chamber of the pump and then blank off the outlet, you would then need to blank of the extra inlet on the pot or use an n/a pot.

 

option c is to use a N/A pump and pot

i have gone for option d which is to move the pot to under the nose panel.

Well i was going to get a n/a pas pump and pot, but i just wanted to know what pipes i can blank off the rack or is this not possible due top the rack been a rear steer. If u look at the picky ther is a ORANGE pipe running from the rack to the front of the car and back again then one running from the rack to the solenoid, and can i get rid of the BLUE one from the rack to the solenoid? OR CAN I JOIN THEM TOGETHER??

like i said mate, the blue one should go to the pump, the orange to the reservoir those should be the only two pipes
