Had the MOT today and despite failing, quite pleased overall.

It failed on the front brakes being "unbalanced", whatever that means.

It's going in next week for an investigation, but to ensure that I'm not ripped off, what could the nature of the problem be? Sticking caliper, worn pads?

Any advice most welcome.

More than likely sticking caliper, the one with the lowest reading will indicate which side.

ide second that, standards are notorious for sticking!

Thanks guys. Is it easily fixable and how long should it take?

They dont take long about 30mins aside with a cuppa in between. Just get the pads out and make sure the pistons move easily and clean up the pad retainers and any crap thats built up.Dont use too much copper grease you only need a very thin skim on the piston face and where the pads sit in the caliper..Lee:thumbup1:
