Hey Guys,

Wanted to know if anyone's ever done leather repair or restoration for their seats?? How hard is it to do?? My Z's seat's are quite worn and have lost colour a bit.

Also does anyone in forums actually do it professionally or know someone who does?

Cheers!

Not sure how bad they and I will presume they are charcoal, black shoe polish rubbed in with bring the colour back, then just generally feed with leather polish will improve the appearance somewhat :cool3:

the 300zx leather seats normally are charcoal right? Well wouldn't the shoe polish rub off? or would it dry up?

Not sure about the other bit, I only had a few light scratches on the back of one of mine so I used a fine tip black pernament marker on those, then I cleaned with baby wipes (loads of those around with a 18 month about) and restored with this stuff, smells of leather works really well and I was well pleased with it:

i used boot polish on my old leather till i could get hold of replacement new covers, i have removed the leather and replaced but never restored, but if anybody has a damaged boulster i have loads of orignal leather from my old covers which i could cut into patches for a restorer to sew in place...
