took the mondeo for its mot today.

told the bloke don't ring early as i just got back from work and i was going to bed. Now his reply was "i will ring you late afternoon"

this was at 9am so i walked home and went to bed at 10am. 11:15am get a call to say it failed.

It was in to have a cv boot replaced and mot so when that prat on the phone says it failed on abs light on and a loose cv boot i was not exactly overjoyed!

I told the bloke that the abs light was on becuase the sensor on the o/s/f was dodgy, it comes on when it gets wet or dust in it.

now they are charging £30 for plugging it into a diagnostic machine to tell me that the o/s/f front sensor is dodgy! F**CKING ****S!!!!

now they have had the car since 9am today an i may have it back tomorrow or wednesday and they still havent fixed the cv boot.(and my sleep was still ruined).

do only morons work in garages? as it seems real mechanics are elsewhere!!

rant over for today(we'll see what they say tomrrow):cursing::censored::rant::rant:

You think that's bad! Just bought an 08 plate focus from Bristol street motors in crewe, ive been driving around for 2 weeks with the wrong reg plates on!

140 point checks they do!

Also a bit of chips on the bonnet/boot needed doing so they said they would have them done, I got a sales man with a chip stick!

Garage I used to use took my motor through a speed camera .

One damaged my car .

One left a mirror in my engine bay .

One forgot to tighten my wheelnuts causing my wheel to nearly come off whilst I was overtaking a merc .

There are a few decent ones though .

One replaced my volvo T5s headlight bulb . Which was a tw@@ to do in freezing temperatures . Must have took him at least 45 mins to an hour and he charged me nothing . Same for my spark plug cover nuts .

One of the reasons I considered getting a Z Is the fact I live pretty close to Z world and they have a really good following on here. Have only spoke to them on the phone ( So far  ) but Jeff took the time out to explain a few things .

i just do all my own work, at least i know its done properly then.

Do you think :lol::lol:

I replaced a head unit in my mondeo and had to flag down a fire engine when the smoke started pouring out out of the dashboard :sweatdrop:

LMAO... quality....

The 141 point check would've included the plates.

i only ever let my mechanic phil work on my cars, he's self employed, mobile, cheap and ultra reliable - and all his work is guaranteed and he'll drop most things to sort a problem if he can. Its taken me years to find a decent one (hey, bit like a fella lol!)

One of my mates does work on mine and all the boys cars. He use to work for Audi and and even Joe Calzaghe only wanted him mate to work on his car :) Good thing is, if I am short of ££££ he doesnt mind having a few cans of Stella as payment lol
