I think we need a dedicated thread to find out who wants to purchase the Traction Control so we can get an Idea of numbers...then obtain a discount!!

We need to arrange numbers and a good time for people to take thier Z's.

Andy your in charge of this thread :o)

I want to have Traction Control fitted to my Z.

There you go, You got One!

I will NEED it in a few months - probably look at around August for TC for me - the turbos and other HP mods will clean me out for most of summer :)

Z ya

Nico91TT

Yeah me want it too,

But having no physical entity to fit it to at the mo suggests that me not able to say when!

But I'm with you in spirit Mat man...if that counts?????????

Tim

;-)

Yup, I'm interested but just need to accumulate some funds!!! I just think it's a bit sad that somebody has to have a nasty one for us all to get together for a group buy. I've got a different idea for a group buy - hows about the group buy dan a new Z for pointing out we need traction control?!!!

Andy

Basic system - £495 +VAT

(switchable on/off)

Adjustable system £695 +VAT

(6 settings, wet-dry-track-gravel-sport-off)

Launch control upgrade - above +£200 +VAT

(max 6 cylinders)

Professional system - £1495 + VAT

all options above plus data logging, full throttle shift & gear shift light

Racelogic are prepared to give us a discount of 20% for 5 or more purchases or 25% for 10 or more. I guess that fitting would need to be taken care of at their Milton Keynes workshop unless we are a) smart enough to do it ourselves, b) know someone smart enough to do it, c) see whether they inclde fitting at a dealer of our (or their) choice, or d) try the group buy through a dealer such as SE, who incidentally charge £750 fitted for the adjustable system

Jesus guys. Give me a call and I will sort you out with a proper price.

Regards

Andy,

Do you think SE would do us a deal if there was a few (Hopefully alot) of us to buy the Adjustable system?

How long does it take to fit, Anyone know?

I guess I would have to travel and make a weekend of it! Damn.....out clubbin...Do I have to.....LOL

Just a thought.

Hey,

If no-one has filled in their Census form yet we should put the name Johnny Z God into the religon part, If enough of us do it he will become a recognised religon....I can see it know all the Z owners round a statue of Johnny....Chanting...Mumbling...Worshiping...The Z God...

Am I waffling too much? revealing some dark deep secret of mine.....????

Don't answer that....LMAO...it's been a long day OK!

Hey guys,

No dissin' Johnny, but these things are reasonably easy to fit..... See the posts on ttzd etc. I'm not trying to be a clever clogs or 'owt tho'!!!!!

What price can you do Johnny - the challenge is on.....

Andy

Andy, I think you already have my name down from the other thread? If not - count me in.

Does anybody have a view on the Adjustable, over the Basic model?

Thanks, Geoff

FYI The official fitting distructions are on the Racelogic site.

I already have the traction control fitted and can confirm that fitting isn't too bad if you don't mind a few soldering connections into the ecu harness and removing the rear seat and a few interior panels. Allow a day for the installation if it's your first attempt.

The choice of system is yours and the basic model will limit power when the slightest amount of slip is detected. This is perfect for wet road driving but a little harsh for dry road driving.

The adjustable option allows a % slip before the power cut and is much more flexible for dry road driving. You can adjust the traction from 15% slip to completely off and 0% is the same as the wet setting or the basic system.

For weekend racers there's launch control and full throttle shift which is available for the manual Z only.

All I can say is don't waste time thinking about it.....this system is a must. I spun my previous Z totally unexpectedly and hit a lamp post totalling my Z.

The system isn't something to rely on as you can still slide or spin if you try but it will help prevent the unexpected incidents.

Steve

Guys,

I'm up for it, would like the adjustable one, my preference would be fitting and purchasing from SE as that's where my car is at the moment.

[-)

Update:

Fitting is not included from Racelogic, they normally charge £150 which is not discountable. So the £750 incl. VAT fitted for the adjustable version looks very reasonable from SE.

However, the ball is still in Johnny's court.

Why don't you arrange a group fitting session. We all get together and fit it ourselves with someone around who knows what the crack is. I've had all the internal panels out of my Z twice. Its not that difficult.

So save on the installation cost and concentrate on the best group buy price on the kit itself.

We're counting on you Johnny LOL.

Andy

I spoke to Darren this morning who said he would fit the adjustable system for £100 for those that want it done.

Ring him on 0797 1193867

Steve

O.K guys. Based on 5 or more sytems

Traction Control.

Basic System + Adjustable

Are you ready for this. 470-00 incl

Who`s your Daddy.

CheerZ

Johnny

that is 470 INCLUDING VAT ?

in that case, i'm in, for two units.

me and my mr2t matey.

how many do we have ?

Matty, AndyP, Anders, Geoff, Mr_Smith, Craig (2)

makes 7 units.. looks like we are on a winner ;)

nice one Johnny (01942 671239)

...is that all in, and fitting or just to buy the unit itself and then someone else fit?

Coz mein automobile ist currantly stranded with SE!

So if you have an orgy fitting session I may not be able to get wood! Know where I'm coming from?

[-)

I'd be happy for SE to fit for me too, as they're just up the road for me.

if you buy from johnny, how likely is it that SE will fit the unit for you ?

If they will, then all well and good...

i might have a go myself the next sunny saturday or sunday we get.... (Bob, are you coming down anytime soon?) ;)

I could probably fit it myself if pressed- I know which end of a soldering iron to use !

But SE are pretty friendly and have indicated before that they are happy to fit user supplied parts.

Johnny, I'll have Basic System + Adjustable.

Thx,

-Andrew
