Had the car a little over 12 months now so thought i'd do a quick highlight thread of the work I have done to it in it's first year. Not very exciting but at least I can see why I have no money left!!

DW polybushed rear

MiesterR zeta-r coilovers

EXTERIOR:

Stone chip removed and smoothed

All car park dents removed (dentman)

Smoothed and de wipered tailgate

Full respray in Cherry Red Pearl

New scuttle panels

Roof trims repainted to as new condition

Genuine '99 spec rear lights

Genuine '99 spec centre panel

Wheels stripped and powdercoated

Calipers painted black

INTERIOR/ICE:

Speakers, front Hertz ESK165 comp, rear JL 650CXI coax

Amp, Vibe slick A4 under custom cover

Subs, JBL GTO804 in custom enclosures

iPhone holder (custom) in place of ashtray

Replaced drivers seat.

MAINTENENCE:

Conzult

Oil and filter change

New brake pads front and rear

Caliper overhaul

Brand new series2 PTU

Blitz SUS induction kit

That's about all really. All of it completed a couple of months ago, so you can see my first 10 months of ownership were quite intense.

I have to say though the car has been an absolute pleasure to own and drive, it's only fault so far has been the PTU packing up, oh and the squeaky bloody brakes lol.

Doesn't look a lot when written down like that but as owners yourselves i'm sure you can empaphise with the amount of work gone into it.

I have all the parts for a manual conversion to fit to the car, and this will be done in due course, but for now i am just enjoying driving it and revelling in the admiring glances and comments it attracts from all walks of life.

Daffy.

Thanks guys. Just got back from what you might describe as a 'spirited' drive. Absolutely fantastic and I'm even forming a soft spot for the auto. Never thought it would grow on me but it is. To hell with fuel prices, awesome drive in an awesome car. Love it.

loads done in a little amout of time :cool3:

Thanks Dave. I thought so too, still loads to do though. Considering going '99 spec front and rear at the moment. Or fog ducts and '89 rear. Thoughts?

Looking good as ever, but I always thought you had owned it for a lot longer than a year !

It's cars like yours that are inspiring Alanz. Mine is now a nice example but still so much to do. Might have met an interior guy, but it's when I start under the bonnet the holidays will have to stop. It doesn't help having Andy Ish as my closest forum buddy. That engine bay :sweatdrop::blush:
