not at the moment... there is a midlands meet and ride thread on here, but doesnt have any meets on it as yet!

Ashby Folville is on next Tuesday mate, always a top night out and I'll be there in me Z (worth the drive for that alone ;) :D)

I went to an Evo meet last month as it was 5 miles down the road and my friend has an evo, and i asked about more 300zx's and they didnt seem to bothered so i can see if i can get more details on that?

I wish I'd known about this! One of my favourite stretches of road is immediately after Tilton on the Hill, travelling towards Melton! I often make a long trip via the backroads via Kibworth Harcourt from Leicester - its a great run out!

 

Once my engine is pieced back together and I'm back in the country (mid june time) then I'll be there!

 

Can't wait to do a few Zed meets :rockon:

Snap! A good mate of mine used to live in Oakham and moved to Melton, so I take the A47 -> Tilton route. They're both awesome drives whether you branch off right toward Oakham via Halstead/Braunstone or continue straight on along the B6047. So many Sunday drivers along there though :headvswal

Yeah, they're even out on mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays.. then I realised it was just me driving 50mph quicker than everyone else! Its just that kind of road. Took the missus for a run in the Zed with the roof off, last summer on a balmy night, completely changed her view on the Zed and driving 'for fun'. Now she even asks to come with me when I go for a drive! Quality time with my true love (and the girlfriend can come too) - result!

 

That big dip on the way into Tilton is awesome at speed - especially when everything compresses at the bottom - its just like a roller coaster!

me too, getting fed up of nice weather, a car that almost works ,,,, and no zed meeting, weekends best for me though, sooner rather than later preferably... why not name a suitable date, time and location and JFDI

I will defo go. But not the zed as its in bits. But i would like to meet up for a chat. I know some mint pubs and nice roads???????

I can only do sundays as i am in work monday to sat. And i. Finish late.

What about Sunday daytime - about 1pm ? Sun Evening is Beer time for me . See who turns up . Or do we need to plan for say a couple of weeks time?

 

If it goes well and people want to do it again maybe plan to meet and drive over to matlock or something ?

Maybe even drive to the Mids boarder and meet another 300zx region ?

 

Quite happy to go with the flow though - I am still very much a Z Noob .
