Right then, a few weeks ago i changed my dash because the other was peeling. On doing that i lost the wire to the rear fog light switch (one that has been put in). The switch still illuminates but the main wire to the bulb has gone LOL.

Now thats not the main problem. The main problem is that when i now switch the main fog light on (the one on the cluster!) my dash, side and rear lights come on WTF is going on? Any ideas please before i start the dreaded strip down and test!

cheers all!!

Hi Matey, if you mean the front spotlights then thats how it is supposed to work, or do you mean the rear fog light switch?

Hi Jeff, when i switch the switch (the one thats been put in) i get nothing at the rear fogs (due to the wire being off). I understand that bit lol.

The baffle comes when i switch the front fogs on (which have now been removed) and the side lights front and rear come on with the dash lights. Just crazy lol. I wounder if its because my wire is off and im getting a back feed?:cursing:

I think its the same on all cars Ants 300 here does this because we have done away with the front fogs the switch now controls the rears but when turned on with the main lights off it turns on the sides light front and rear have checked wiring and nothing seems to wrong so put it down to just a light left on warning system.

the switch presumably has 3 conections to it (asuming the switch iluminates to tell you fogs are on)

so youve lost one wire, have you put the other 2 back on the wrong conections?

When you push the front fog switch, regardless of whether you have front fogs or not, the sidelights/dash lights will come on, its standard and perfectly normal lol.

If you cant find your rear fog feed from the switch, just run another wire, will only take you half hour, with re hiding the wire.
