week in advance i dont do nothing a week in advance!!! lol i was going to try something new and photo copy my speech and just hand it out for them to read at there own leisure! think it will catch on?

sounds a good idea, maybe ill do a few lines of coke before i do the speech will im at it, ill be talking for hours!!! :thumbup::clap:

Yeah finished it this afternoon its about a page and half long of a4

my advice mate (having been a best man twice..)

 

do not read from a piece of paper. Only use que-cards if you have a memory like a sieve. When you're reading from paper it makes the speech less personal, difficult to maintain eye contact with your audience and potentially make you feel more nervous when you see your paper shaking like a leaf.

 

Do your best to remember what you want to say and make the rest up as you go along. Don't over-do it, keep it short and sweet, make everyone laugh a couple of times and sit the fook down. Back slaps all round - everyone starts drinking!

Yeah im pretty sure i know my speech i hope im just not a very good public speaker which is worrying!!

Well im pleased to say it went well had everybody laugh a few times and was told by a few people i done well so all good!!!
