Ive got an NA rear axle so no system. but ive still got the actuator thing in the engine bay. Not needed so i was wondering what can be removed.

Its still got the pipes dangling at the back of the car.

If its not being used is it still in the fluid loop (will it have stuff in)

What can i do with the excess wiring.

TIA

But can i just leave some of those things blocked for now.

How come i need the pump, has it got a line to this

Or you could buy one of my fluid bypass pipes. It connects the two large banjo's on the HICAS solenoid together allowing you to remove it and the pipes coming from the underneath of the valve. They're £17 each delivered.

depends if you wanna do it properly and delete the whole system out then you would need a NA PS pump and NA pot. If your quite happy with a cluttered engine bay then go with the above

Snip the 2 wires on top of your sterring pot, remove the solenoid unit, loop the 2 hoses into 1, job done.

You can then also remove the lines from the front of the car to the back.

If in the future you get an N/A pot, simply fit it. theres just as many still running the TT pump as there is the N/A pump after deleting hicas.

smithy

you see the top bango on the left you can cut the end of the banjo off leaving the metal pipe and slide it into the rubber one next to it, comming from the pot.

Job done in 2 min then you can rip the rest out. because you have made the circuit for your steering and the 2 bottom pipes of your hicas goes to the rear :)

As for the 2 wires as smithy said you can keep them as they are. all you have to do is unplug the hicas ecu, by doing that it keeps the hicas warning light off, but it can still be used as a low level indicator

Ok, so join the 2 large banjos together to make a loop and the 2 underneath are the pipes to the back so can come out?

And the electrics can be left there and tucked out the way?

There is nothing wrong with using the fluid bypass pipe. It's entirely up to to the user whether he wants to go to the trouble of replacing the pump and pot or simply bypassing the connector.

I don't appreciate your comment that doing it this way is not "doing it properly".
