de cat pipes

Took zed to tyre exaust garage today they were going to put my japspeed de cat down pipes on ,up on the ramps they noticed a snapped stud they said they couldn't do it as they would have to drill it out,the guy from the garage behind said he could do it for £200 sounds like alot of money, what would be a reasonable amount to pay?

is the stud snapped on the turbo?

I really couldn't tell you .Would that be a much bigger problem?.

it would be a bigger problem than one snapped on an exhast as it would have to be done while on the car or turbo removed, both tricky on a zx. i cant remember whats studed and where as its been months since i fitted my system but from what i can remember the turbos are studs and thats where the downpipe bolts up which i reckon is what he wants 200 quid for, i think the rest are nuts and bolts so almost certain now its the turbo one, iv heard guys on here saying its engine out to get to turbos weather thats true or not your have to look into and i know it would be a pig to repair while bolted up even with a ramp.

by the way i bet they snapped the thread taking the old downpipes off, should have used a lot of lube and some heat.
