Looking great, the colour looks very similar to Bayside blue in those pics.

Love what you've done with the rear bumper and black paint, very effective. Looking forward to seeing it all put together.

You've done a great job. I too can't wait to see it all back together, going to look epic. And a massive hats off tou you for doing all the work yourself. Must be really satisfying. And as said above, the detail on the rear bumper is fantastic, great idea.

A great finish Al, i would be more than happy with that result. How many coats did you put on? I look forward to seeing it all back together, stunning i reckon:thumbup1:

Theres going to be a fair bit of competition at this years JAE lol

Cheers Graham , 3 coats of base and the same in laquer , the painters here usually put 2 coats of laquer on but i wanted plenty to cut back and polish up :whistling: lol

so the burning question is, what spray gun that cost just £40 for this, also any hinters on what type of air compressor to use if your doing this out side a booth?

I think if you weigh up the cost of all the paint, thinners, clear, gun and compressor, ive been told there is a guy near me, who will do it on a weekend (out of work time lol) for about £500 in a booth, ive still got to go and get a quote, but hopefully if its somewhere near that, i would rather he do it than do it myself with no booth.

I think the booth is half the battle with a good paint job, like any tools i guess.

This is the gun bud

And any compressor as long as it has enough cfm to run the gun constantly , nowt worse than the air pressure dropping half way across a panel
