na defo cambelt as i took off 1 side of the cover and started it and you could see the belt moving up and down! i was planing on changing it at end of month anyway but looks like my plans have changed! i did have a day of tomorrow but looks like be doing belt and water pump. any recommendations on doing these belts tgey look pretty straight forward as i have rad out and the fan off already

dave where abouts are you? if your close enough i could do it for you as long as you have a puller to get the lower crank sprocket off.

Also you might want to strip it down and find out why its flopping about, as you might need to replace more than just the water pump and belt. tensioner would be a good idea to replace while there. and front crank seal as well.

well it seems i was a very lucky boy indeed as i found that my tensioner arm had seized and this was causing my cambelt slap, so been driving about without a tensioned cambelt!!! just got to put the rad back in today and we should be all good hopefully
