wow very lucky i almost went off the road today swerving to miss a fence post that was lay on the road. was doing 70 on the motorway aswell

I once had a job, fella impaled by a wooden stake for fencing, he had hit the fence and the wood had come through impaling him to the seat, he lived to tell the tale, big scar though.....

Changing the subject slightly but still sort of a chance thing,

 

My dad bought an air rifle last week, i went to visit my parents on the weekend and naturally wanted a go on it, after a few shots he said ' shoot the wooden post to see how powerfull it is' meaning he wanted to see how deep the pellet went into the fence post, so i shot it at close range, and to my amazment it richashaded (sorry dont know how to spell it!!) of the post right into my dads chin!!

 

Bad luck in a way but very lucky, it could of gone straight into his eye! or even worse, mine! lol

 

He was ok, it only made a small cut, but like i said, these sort of things can be such a shock.

I shot a tennis ball off a wall when i was a lot younger and the ricochet??? back and hit me just below the eye :-( the ball hardly moved
