was doing lighting refits in lloyds pharmacys there for a while and couldnt believe how many people come in for methadone these days but what really took the biscuit was one of the pharmacys is now a drive through pharmacy have we really got that bad with the drug culture in this country

i know what you mean mate i see them waiting (in numbers) outside the chemist near me, when on morning shifts! was not aware of a drive through service though

was only at one store i thought at first they had maybe bought a old mcdonalds building or the likes but know had all the stuff inside for dispensng at the drive through window

Yeah it really grates me to see it, almost every time I go to the chemist now, there is someone there waiting, they will quite openly tell you they are waiting for the meth too. I don't like it personally, most of the time the reason I go to a pharmacy is for my five year old, and he's usually with me because I've taken him to the doctors and got a prescription for him for some cold or other.

 

My son spent the first 4 years of his life in NZ so speaks to EVERYONE, desperately trying to teach him the whole "Say no to strangers" thing, but when he's had 4 nearly 5 years of being able to come to the pub with us and go play on the trampolene and then come up and talk to everyone in the pub, it's a bit hard.

 

That being said, I wouldn't move back to NZ if you paid me. The UK has it's faults, this subject being one of them, but it's a damn site better place to live than most other countries.
