i have someone local selling a tt black quite cheap, and wanted to know if it would be worth the time and effort breaking it and selling off the parts e.t.c.

what are the the most easiest selling parts?

the easiest has gotta be manual gearbox and turbo engine , sold both i think for 1150. only zed i ever broke and i only did it to swap the engine to my current zed, i think you can get a bit of money if you're lucky to sell all the parts , however personally i dont think id go through all that again. if you want to break a zed full of goodies then yeah you would get alot altogether , a stock zed i dont think theres much in it imho.

I agree with the above. Its a lot of effort tho and a pain in the arse!

£1150 for the engine and bix is good going tho. Would be over the moon getting that for mine..

Engine - 600-800

(If you can prove running with no leaks or smoke, and with a good compression test - otherwise 300-500 as an untested engine)

Gearbox - 500-600 for Manual Converison kit or 200-300 for autobox

Maf - 100 (sx owners)

Brakes

Front brakes - 100 (sx owners)

Rear brakes - 100 (sx owners)

Brake Master cylinder - 60 (sx owners)

Aftermarket SS exhaust - 100-250

UK clocks - 100

Good condition leather seats or a later series Suede or Velour interior can sell quite well.

A lot of potential profit is from Aftermarket parts though.

But dont underestimate the amount of time and space required. A lot of parts invovle so much labour its just not worth selling them.
