My father in law bought me a gift day for christmas 09! Finally got round to doing it.

Best car i have ever driven.

I could choose from, Audi R8, Lambo, 360, 911 turbo, elise, or the touring car.

 

I thought, at some point, ive got a chance of knowing somebody with one of the road cars, im never likely to know somebody with a touring car!

 

Glad i went for this one.

 

Would recommend everybody to do it. I want a V8!!!

Most people went for the Ferrari. I dont see the appeal if im honest.

id have done the same mate...wot would you rather do go fast in a straigt line or feel some serios g's round corners without the grip going

Cool, agree with the choice of the touring over the ferrari or the lotus.

What was it based on, looks like a vectra

I was expecting a Holden, but i think it was a chevvy. Haven't seen one before..

 

LHD tho, which was a bit funny placing its in the right place not hitting the grass!

awwww awesome choice! anyone can drive a ferrari at an experience day, but an actual touring car round a track, thats gotta be mint! id love to see how an actual touring car handles, with decent slicks and real downforce, plus lightweight!

 

What experience day did you use? Plus rockingham is just up the road from me!

I was there less than 2 hours!

Booked through "The Racing School".

Think it was around £100.

 

They drive you round the track in a mini cooper S first for 2 laps, then out in the car of choice.

Nice one, I think I'd have chosen the touring car too, unless the Lambo was a countach or a Diablo, in which case, I've ALWAYS wanted to drive one, couldn't care less about the Lotus, the Ferrari etc lol. Not sure how I'd have done with the LHD either, I had trouble driving a Fiesta around spain which was LHD, I'd rather get full enjoyment out of it by being comfortable with the side of the car I was on etc.

 

Glad you enjoyed it, might have to buy myself one of these days, most thrilling time I had was taking the GTR around Silverstone for 7 or 8 laps, that was nearly 10 years ago now :(

Oh yeah i forgot, the GTR was 1 of the choices!

Which GTR was it? I've sat in my Directors R35 and didn't think much to it, my R32 was AWESOME fun to drive around the track :D Miss it so much :(

I was on track with one in December 09, i was in the M3.

The GTR was very fast! Did 4.4mpg round Oulton tho!

Yeah I got about the same out of my R32 when I went round Silverstone lol. I wasn't really watching the fuel guage though, I was watching the Oil Temperature LMAO! It never needed an oil change more than after that day.
