Sorry guys, another thread about this topic . i used the search but didn't really quite understand it .

I've been looking at various options, doolz, twin k&n and twin greddy filters. The doolz i think you need a dummy mas and im wondering if the greddy ones are okay ? as i think you just fit them where the single one goes without anything else or do you still need a dummy mas?

just wondering if both greddy filters would be okay for 500+ and if the maf would be okay for that? i've also got an aem ems .

thanks in advance : )

If i were you mate, and since youve got an AEM EMS, i'd be looking to run a MAP sensor and get rid of the MAF all-together.

Then you can fit whatever you want, without having to worry about dummy maf's etc.

Yeah, thats the fellow. You'll need to get something done to the EMS so that it reads the MAP sensor (im a bit unsure about that bit) but i know once you get that fitted, the air flow meter isn't needed.

thanks alot buddy : ) , i need to research more about that part then ( doing something to the ems) , i dont know much about these bloody map sensors lol .

just a question mate, what did you do with your car regarding the maf/filters as you're running a very similar spec to what mine will be ?

I'm going to be running a MAP sensor (hopefully) once i get some more engine work done later this year (october time).

To replace my Maf, i've got an alunox pipe that removes the t-piece after the MAF and gives a seperate feed into each back. I'll need to remember to find another apexi intake!

could you not run a balance bar accross the plenum intake hard pipes and plug the MAP sensor into that ? then just put twin cone filters on the air intakes and remove the T piece...i think this is the way i will be going with mine, hopefuly fabricating some duct work from the front / after removing the front fog lights to feed the air filters ....or dropping the filters down to where the side mount intercollers sould be ....i will be running a huge Border FMIC

You could but why would you need to fabricate a "balance" tube?

A MAP sensor runs on the air inlet pressure so tapping into one of the vacuum pipes at the balance bar would suffice.
