Some of you might know i bought a cheap little mk4 escort a couple of month back just to run around in. Well i'm on holiday in cornwall at the moment and i got a phonecall from my mother last night. My escort has been stolen. From outside our own house!

I just cant believe it! Was in brilliant condition and only just past 70k, serviced it last week, put a new starter on it. It was spot on!

 

I would be out looking for them if i was at home! Probably a good job i'm on holiday....:cursing::cursing::cursing:

Sorry to hear that though; but at least your ZX is safe. I know it can only make you mad, but enjoy the rest of your holiday as there's nothing more you can do, other than inform your insurance company.

 

I can't believe it either - but I hope you get it sorted without too much fuss.

i've never claimed on my insurance before, neither have i had a car stolen, what should i do? My parents have already phoned the police and done the doings at home, but while i'm away i dont have any of the info. Would it be fine to wait till i get home to phone my insurance company?

Hi rob was good to meet u on sunday & thanks for the plenum...but gutted to hear about this now! I would call insurance asap & inform them of what's happened & tell them your away on holiday just incase they get funny about u not reporting it to them sooner! Also the police should have given your folks a crime reference number which u can quote to your insurance company for confirmation. Gutted mate but at least u left the escort at home & not the ZED !
