Actually Groover whilst your on, I have no power to both pod illumination and my needles are out aswell, but I have ciggy illumination and the clock goes dim when lights are turned on? any suggestions mate?

The dash and pods and anything connected to the dimmer runs through the TCU (time control unit), i had a break in one of the tracks on the board in mine, resoldered and now fine.

The cig lighter and ashtray dont work off the dimmer, but come on with the light switch, so if they arent affected then check your TCU, you may have the plug out slightly where you had your fuse box apart.

The bottom of the kickpanel, nearest the door from the fuse panel. Its an opaque/white plastic box, the size of a fag packet, the connector is at the bottom of the TCU

ahhh, it makes sense now, i have run a seperate feed from the back of the pod to the dash as i have no power to the pod lights for some reason, so the middle bit is the only part illuminated as the others are on a different feed, if you know what i mean, lol, it was gettin dark so will check the feed out again tommorrow, my whole lighting problem was the 2 inverter wires on the rear 300zx indiglo shorting out!!

That is exactly what I pointed out that it could be in your 'headlight problem' thread, have a look at post 8, I was spot on he says patting himself on the back.

If only you would listen :tt2:
