Hi Guys,

I'm about to re-insure the z along with a day to day car.

Anyone got any experience of doing this with one company or two?

The z will be limited mileage and the other car will be day to day both fully comp.

Thanks in advance!

Andy

If you have your daily fully insured then Lynbrook will insure your Zed on a classic policy. They don't require any NCB for this iirc. My car renewal is up and use my van as a daily so all good. HTH.

I insure my van and car with direct line, and my zed with Footman James.

Classic fully comp, with break down etc Limited to 1500 miles, £104!

That's cheap!!!!

Tell me about it!

I changed it over to the Mr2 i bought as the zed was off the road, it cost me £40.

I changed it back to the zed this week thinking it would be high, they returned me £9. Thats after the admin fees. 300zx Twin turbo is cheaper to insure than a 2.0 NA Mr2!

im with lynbrook mate, £293.25 for the year. 8k limited, im sure you can also insure a second car with them thats not classic if you ask.

I have just gone with Admiral on Multi car policy (3 Cars) savings were incredible.

My B3 Alpina £750 to £353

Wifes Freelander £320 to £229

Daughters Clio £1,150 to £740

All Fully Comp with Break down cover

Whopping Saving of £899:clap::clap::clap:

a no claims bonus can only be used on one vehicle for some mad reason . as its the driver who has the bonus surely you should be able to use it on all cars even if you have 10 motors as you can only drive one at a time . i use my no claims on my daily and classic insurance on the zed as you dont use no claims with classic insurance and therefor arnt breaking any laws that would allow an insurer to wriggle out of a claim

all about satistics buddy. i can bet that theres more non turbo mr2s stacked into a hedge tahn turbo zeds. i looked at getting an mx5 to abuse and the insurance was obscene comparitivly to the zed.

^ agree. I use the Z almost as a daily driver (unless its frozen, frosty or broken) if not I use the Civic. when I first bought the Civic, my current insurers on the Z did me a good deal with that and the Z by mirroring my NCB (8 years at the time) on the Z to the Civic as well - but this was only while I was with them. trouble was the two policies annualised at different times of the year and I couldn't move one without moving the other. lack of ringing around to get a better quote meant my premium stagnated until I decided to get the Civic on temporary insurance until it annualised with the Z. Then I could ring around and ask what deals each insurer could do on both cars - got a good deal in the end. as above, if the Z is not a daily driver then you can insure as classic and get an even better deal but I couldn't really declare mine as a 2nd car due to 'often' use
