Rocker Covers Sealant

Featured Replies

Yeah, gaskets!

Yeah, gaskets!

Lol, there are no gaskets for the exhaust cams, there is a rubber half moon at the rear end of the cam on the vvt sensor.

The intake rockers have a rubber gasket and for the price always best to replace with new, rather than cleaning the old one.

Yes, I was planning to. It's probably on the limit of my mechanical ability, so I'll no doubt be back with more questions! Apart from the rocker, plenum and AIV gaskets, will I need any others?

Worth replacing the half moon rubbers on top of the vvt sensors, but no other gaskets apart from what youve listed. Worth also giving the pcv valves aclean on the side of the bottom of the plenum.

Is yours a TT or N/A?

i use loctite 598 for anything that needs sealing from oil.

it's expensive and hard to find in this country but, i've not managed to find anything that will beat it ;)
