or if you really want a proper one, z1 in the states have them...

 

i bought one, because i didn't want to bodge my zed, (or more to the point don't have a welder...:oops: )

 

although its an expensive way of doing the job of a 5p

manifold is on the car, I'm a good welder, but wouldn't try and pool weld the hold in the manifold, I don't want anything dropping in that would get blasted through the turbo... just wish I could find the original, and pool weld that, but I can't find it! either way, it has to be done tomorrow, so I'll find something...

You're not welding the hole up on the manifold. It's a plug that the old egr pipe went into that your welding shut. This can then be put back into the thread on the manifold.
