There doesnt seem to be anything on this, so here goes...

Just fitted my new steering wheel, but as its a smaller diameter than the stock one and even with the seat set as low as it will go, the top of the wheel still obscures all the dials...

In my old MX5 i very successfully did a foamectomy on the seat, and removed about an inch of foam so I sat an inch lower, which is all I'd need to do to the seat in the zed to be able to see the dials. Has anyone removed some foam from the front seat to lower it further?

I have a 350mm diameter ektor steering wheel so I too cannot see the top of the clocks, it infuriates me

However, I have bought a stock correct series wheel (should be with me tomorrow) and may go back to that.

Not sure taking out foam is your answer, seems a bit drastic

depends how easy it is to take it apart i reckon - on my mx5 seats the process was entirely reversable if i didnt like it, was actually quite easy to take the seats apart to get at the foam.

might take them out and have a look one weekend - if it looks doable, i might report back how it goes.

if not, i too might put the stock wheel back in, just so i can see the clocks! even with the standard wheel i still have to stoop to see if the indicators are on!
