Hi guys,

 

I've got a 1990 TT which I've just had serviced...I've been advised that the 'box needs to be overhauled and one set of pipes is smoking, indicating turbo overhauls might be advisable.

 

My question is this...as I live near Luton, where would be best to try and get this work done.

 

I'm sure that I've seen replacement auto boxes quoted at around £900 in Exchange and Mart.....anyone got any useful suggestions please. I really want to try and get the work done in the next couple of weeks.

if you give me a shout i could probably take you to a place i know called "AM gearboxes" or theres a place i know tha do mostly yank boxes but they had a 300zx tt in recently to do.

 

only probs is that these places are in London. its not too far from you (i think)? give me a shout if this helps!
