Does anyone here have one fitted or any knowledge of these little puppies. Are they a good piece of kit, or simply bu****it!! and not needed.

 

Something i found regarding the above...... (Not wiki....lol)

 

"It is a simple car voltage stabilizer that is connected directly to a car battery.The function is to stabilize or filter an AC voltage from the alternator to get a clean DC voltage. A clean DC voltage is required for electronics equipment to operate in an optimum condition. The alternator voltage output is regulated and still has AC noise which will cause a humming noise to a power amplifier. This circuit will filter both low frequency noise and high frequency noise. The lower value capasitor will filter high frequency noise while the higher value capasitor will filter low frequency noise."

I know what you mean vods, but i am thinking that this is an old car now, and maybe the electrcal system was good in the year, but now, some stability is needed wth a 20 year old car???

Does the 300zx Z32 have capacitors in the ECU/loom to compensate for electrical fluctuations?? Maybe is does, i am not the best Z32 300zx electrically minded guy here.... lol.

The biggest capacitor you can get is a battery. Make sure you have a good one, check everything is tight and clean and there will be no problems
