It's absolutely shocking, i watched the report this morning when i got into work.

I just can't believe the power of that water as it ripped through the fields.

Just hope that's it and it doesn't hit with as much energy on the other coasts surrounding :(

Just seen.....what a shock!! Whats is happening to the world. It just shows how the forces of nature control our destiny.

We have an office in Tokyo on the 41st floor of an office block. Everyone accounted for and OK but with no power it was a long walk for them to get onto the street.

They are house sharing as no trains and people are not sure if they have a home to go back to.

My parents are on a cruise ship which was sailing from Osaka yesterday. Still waiting to hear if they were affected in any way!

I heard about it on the radio on the way to work this morning......

.....and only weeks after New Zealand! My thoughts go out to those affected by it; and I'm thankful that here in the UK we seem to escape such huge disasters. It really puts into perspective how fortunate we are on our cozy little island, tucked away up here.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

well said that Richard, these foreign places look soooo desirable but boy do they have adverse weather conditions! :(

the scenes in japan are awful, can't stop watching the news :(

am i wrong for thinking cheap slightly water damaged nissan parts? :sweatdrop::sweatdrop::sweatdrop:

all kidding aside its very bad though, been watching the vids on youtube and to see the power of the wave just leveling the country is awesome.(not in a good way) just goes to show the true power of nature.

will be a long time to clean that up

Cheers Baz! I mean, we are all quick to run down the UK sometimes and criticize our apparent drab weather etc. But it's events like this around the world that really show just how lucky us Brits are!!

So the next time we feel like a moan about our country, I'd suggest taking a moment to reflect on what life could actually be like elsewhere........
