So good i removed them [sorry Dave] and have them on my current z.

Brilliant bit of kit IMO

I have the 330mm kit on mine, was very impressed with it. The standard pads I have found could be better. I was advised to changed them, could do with some DS2500 pads in them but its more expense. However they are OK, just have to make sure they are warm before attempting any serious braking! FAR FAR FAR better than standard zed brakes (and as cheap as any other upgrade, evo/skyline calipers etc)

is braking much improved? as my brakes are really good.

and what this about warming the brakes, dont they work too well at the beginning of trips?

well if your brakes are really good why are you upgrading them ;)

Stock Z32 brakes are normally poor, often with siezed calipers and warped discs etc. Basically the brakes are a bit small for the power and weight of the car so they take a hammering, especially with autos.

Depending on the type of pads used, some can be awful when cold others better. I have found that the standard D2 pads are better when warm. Exactly the same as tyres, cold tyres dont work as well as warm ones!

upgrading as the pads are old, and the discs seem warped, they do stop well but the vibration is annoying.

The D2's are good value, if you shop around a bit companies are often doing deals. The Z32 kit is identical to the Skyline and 200sx(s14) kit.

You shoud notice a stronger intial bite with them, but the main reason to upgrade to larger brakes is for the improved heat dissapation - which reduces overheating that causes brake fade issues over prolonged hard braking - such as on the Track and from very high speed.

thanks yowser, in that case i wont bother. i never get brake fade and they always stop well

will just get good pads and discs.

thanks.
