I noticed a vacum pipe off today, just wondered were it goes and whats it for pics below.

 

 

 

does it go here, found a little tube, which a pipe could go on.

 

 

Also daft question were is the gearbox dipstick to check the oil lol, that many pipes to look past.

first, cant quite make out where that pipe is going or where its coming from as the camera is too close.

 

Also, if you have a manual then you wont have a gear box dipstick. only the autos do. and its located almost where your hand is but slightly back abit.

I can see it, and i would say yes, that's where it goes (kind of centre of the pic, a bit orangey)...

If you have enough length (ahem) then cop a little bit off the pipe so it's a nice snug dit, mine used to pop off there too whenever i was working on the engine... The only way to check the level on the manual box, is with it level, undo the filler plug on the side, same way as you fill it up, you just keep going till it overflows out the hole and it's full!

filler plug underneath is on the side of the gearbox, i have an auto but if memory serves correct just undo the bolt and you just stick your finger in the hole to feel the fluid lvl hope this helps, im sure someone will be able to help better.

Is the little pipe on your balance bar ????

also for people who know what is the pipe for and will it cause damage been off as I have just got the car so dont know how long its been off.

doubt it would cause harm, but might leave you in safety boost mode. id suggest reconnecting it to be honest.

I am Vods but just wanted to know that it belong there before I attach it and do more harm lol, cheers bud.

iirc it's the little extension bar from your EGR valve. The pipe runs from the top of the egr to a hard line on the back of the plenum and then onto the egr Solenoid.

That looks like the egr pipe.just blank the rubber hose and leave it bud,will be fine.
