GOT A 91' TWIN TURBO, SEEMS SHE IS LEAKING WATER, BUT ONLY WHEN THE CARS SWITCHED OFF!...I FIGURE THIS IS THE WATER PUMP, CAN SOMEONE PLS CONFIRM THIS??.........

ALSO, ANYONE ABLE TO GIVE ME A ROUGH GUIDE TO THE COSTS THIS WILL INVOLVE TO BE REPAIRED!,.,...

It seems quite likely, they tend to dribble before thy pack up completely. Usually you don't notice when the engine is running because the small amount of water is either evaporated by the heat of the engine or blown away by the wind/fan.

 

You will be looking at something like £200-250 to get it fixed. This should also include the timing belt as you'd be a fool not to replace that at the same time.

2nd hand one wouldn't be my choice. They're about £60 from Nissan, which is aboutone third the cost of the labour to fit it !

Would i have any problems getting a new one from nissan, since my ZX is an import???......i've heard nissan are jittery about Import labour and spares?

Shouldn't be a problem they are all the same. If Nissan try to give you the run-around, then either give them the chassis/VIN of a UK car or walk away and go someplace that wants your business, such as Mike Feeney at MJP, or one of the places that specialise in Zeds like Hitec, SE, Zedworld etc.
