A fan, the sort of dodgy, hidden fan that would make Britney worry

Well sort of, I stumbled upon this one night after getting stacked and pulling my car apart to do Jeffs headlight upgrade.

What is this fan in the picture for? is it a secondary cooling fan for rad or something to do with aircon?
